Thanks. Please do the following.

Download collect.exe and save to your desktop.
Go ahead and run the tool
After it runs click your Start button and type %temp% in the search box and hit enter. This will bring you to the local temp directory for the current user. Sort the files by date and zip up all the files that are created/updated today.

Correct. But if it fails this time I would like you to zip up and send me any logs from the following two directories. Any logs that were updated around the time you attempted the update.
C:\Windows\Temp
%temp% like you did last time but go back one level. (For example %temp% on my machine would bring me to C:\Users\briand\AppData\Local\Temp but I would want to see any logs in C:\Users\briand\AppData\Local

There are no log files in the directory users\Robert\appdata\local

there are 10 files in users\Robert\appdata\local\temp which I will zip and c send as before.

there are 5 files around 10:30 in windows\temp which I will send

As a result I would like you to do the following.
1. Click your Start button and type cmd into the search box.
2. Right-click on cmd.exe that is returned in the search results and click on Run as administrator. Click Continue if prompted with a UAC dialog.
3. Copy/Paste the following into the command prompt window and hit enter.
regsvr32 msxml3.dll
4. If all goes well you should receive a message that says DllRegisterServer in msxml3.dll succeeded.
5. Click OK on the message box.

Let me know when complete.

OK, I have some things we can try now. Please start with the following. I need to establish a quick baseline.

SFC Scan

Click on the Start

button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

sfc /scannow

Wait for this to finish before you continue

copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log %userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt
This will create a file, cbs.txt on your Desktop. Please attach this to your next post.
