Basically, I tell Windows Update to restart now to install important updates and it restarts and still says it cant update while the system is using important files continuing the same loop. I've tried several fixes to troubleshoot the issue by scanning with a command prompt and manually restarting windows update. Upon running the SFCFix tool and the CheckSUR tool I noticed some corrupt or missing files in the logs. I will post the SFCFix log, if you need the CheckSUR log too i can post that as well. I think my zipped CBS file is too large so if that is needed I can upload that as per the instructions. Thank you for the help. Here is my SFCFix log: SFCFix version 3.0.0.0 by niemiro. Please zip and attach this to your next post.

Once the file is downloaded, right-click on the file on your desktop and choose Extract All... Keep the defaults and click the Extract button. A folder named tweaking.com_windows_repair_aio will be extracted to the desktop. Once the extraction is complete the folder will open. Inside this folder, there is a folder named Tweaking.com - Windows Repair. Open this folder as well. Double-click on Repair_Windows.exe to open. Note: Please make sure all of your programs are closed and anything you were working on is saved as we will be rebooting. When the program opens, click the Reboot to Safe Mode button at the bottom of the screen. Answer Yes to allow. Once rebooted into Safe Mode, open the program again. When the program opens, click the Repairs tab and click the Open Repairs button. A backup of your registry will be made. After a few moments you will have many options from which you can choose. Please click the Unselect All button and then click to enable only the following ones: 17 - Repair Windows Updates Ensure the Restart check box is selected and click the Start Repairs button in the lower right of the screen. I was able to change the registry to remove the windows 10 notification and app :grin1: However, I changed the registry to disable Windows OS Upgrade and I am still blocked to check for new updates because the Windows 10 Update is still queued up. Would changing the registry have taken this out or am I too far along in the Windows 10 install process for this to be disabled? I want to be able to check and install new important updates without being blocked by this Windows 10 update barrier. I have a picture of the message attached.

It looked to have worked but I was giving it a day and a couple restarts/update checks. But everything seems to be in order thank you for helping me through my issue. I would not have been able to do it myself :wave:
