[SOLVED] WindowsUpdate 800F0900 error re KB2310138

I've been getting a windows update error for some time. Did some googling & found this forum.

following are the results in the SFCFix log & attached is the CBS.zip file & a screenshot of the update history showing the failed updates
Cancel that re the zip file. I am able to upload files but the 14MB zip file will not upload for me, see screenshots attached. I could send a dropbox link to the file

System Update Readiness Tool (SURT)

Download and run the System Update Readiness Tool for your version of Windows here: System Update Readiness Tool

NOTE: If you aren't sure if your Windows installation is 32-bit or 64-bit, check here: How to determine whether a computer is running a 32-bit version or 64-bit version of the Windows operating system

This tool will take some time to complete - when it has finished, attach C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log with your reply.

Windows Update Package Replacement

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

Please download the attached file, Packages.zip and save this to your Desktop.
Right-click on the file and select Extract All...
Tick the box labelled Show extracted files when complete then click Extract
A window will open showing the contents of the extracted zip file
Open the Packages folder (if it isn't already opened) and copy the files into the following folder

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages
Run the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) again.
When the SURT finishes installing, copy (Ctrl + C) and paste (Ctrl + V) the contents of the SURT log into your next post please:

C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log

Very good.

Please check for Windows Updates and attempt to install any that are offered.

If the updates fail to install, zip and attach C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
If the zip is larger than 8MB, use a file sharing service such as OneDrive, DropBox, SendSpace, etc. and include the link with your reply.

THANK you SO much. I guess I've had the problem longer than i realized. 140 updates successfully installed. Seems to me system performance is up too!! Thanks very much
