    Hi dohcrider :)

Did you try to upgrade to Windows 10 using the Media Creation Tool? The success ratio is better with it than via Windows Update.

Yes, I have the upgrade Win 10 stored on a USB stick and tried several times to upgrade
but also so that it can not be installed. It is the message. An unknown error has occurred.
but also it can not be installed. It is the message. "An unknown error has occurred."

even with my original Win7 CD does not work, the in-place repair.

the problem was probably caused by a power failure during operation.

I do not like to make New the whole system.

You cannot run a Repair Install of your current system? Are you receiving the same "An unknown error has occured" message, or is it another one? If it is, can you type it here?

Re: win 7 does not work correctly

    thanks for all the answers.
I have found still a backup on my external hard drive. With this assurance I could restore WIN. 7
After that I was able to upgrade to WIN 10
    Now everything runs again.
