Details are included in the CBS.Log %WinDir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. I heard that running the following (as administrator) could repair the corruption: "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth". Every time I run this, I get the following message: The restore operation completed successfully. The component store corruption was repaired. But again, I restart my laptop and run "sfc /scannow" and get the same message of corruption. Any ideas of where to go from here? I have heard people sometimes fix their issue by running sfc /scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth multiple times. I am currently trying that. Some symptoms I believe are a result of these corrupted files: Programs such as Google Chrome, Firefox, and Adobe Reader routinely stop responding Applications won't open or come to the front after being minimized to the toolbar Thank you very much in advance :)

Right-click on the Start button and select Command Prompt (Admin) 2. When command prompt opens, Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Right-click > Paste) the following command into it, then press Enter sfc /scannow 3. Once it finishes, copy and paste the following into the command-prompt window and press Enter. copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt" 4. Once this has completed please go to your Desktop and you will find CBS.txt => Right-click on this file and choose Send To...Compressed (zipped folder). Please upload this zipped file CBS.zip to this thread Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to your next post please upload via a service such as Dropbox or One Drive or SendSpace and just provide the link.
