[SOLVED] Windows update error, please help. Code 80246007, Code 800F0900, Code 80070002

Hi there,

I have an ongoing problem with windows update.

I generally just put my computer to sleep and don't restart it much so it took me a while to figure out that the updates had been failing for the last few months.

I have tried a few things:

Chkdsk = no errors

sfc /scannow = no errors

sfcfix = no errors

I have attached the sfcfix log file. View attachment SFCFix.txt

The CBS file will follow shortly (it is big).

I'm assuming that you're running Windows 7!! Take a look at these click here & here. Might resolve your issue. Let us know your results!! :wave:

Hi,

Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.

I followed the instructions and resolved all of the errors except one. I've decided to just bite the bullet and upgrade to windows 10. I was really hoping to put it off for a while longer, but I think that will just be the quickest resolution.
