H henribierman Member Joined Sep 8, 2015 Posts 18 Sep 17, 2015 #25 Hi Aura, No I don't. We bought 2 of the exact same ACER laptops from a store with Windows 8 pre installed. Later Microsoft upgraded them via Update to 8.1. The Laptop I use is perfect, it has Windows 10 on now, no issues. While the one, my father use, is the one that you are helping me with. Regards

I was wondering because a repair install in your case might be faster to solve the issue. Click on the link below and download the Media Creation Tool for Windows 8.1. For more information on that feature, you can read the article below. Everything You Need to Know About Refreshing and Resetting Your Windows 8 or 10 PC The biggest downside to refreshing is having to reinstall your programs after. Your personal files, personalization settings and Windows Store apps however are saved.

Aura Sysnative Staff, Security Analyst Staff member Joined Mar 16, 2015 Posts 8,061 Sep 17, 2015 #36 There's always a possibility for me to fix all the issues one by one. I would just have to look into it first since there seems to be an issue with the manifest files I'm providing you (the hashes doesn't match). If the Refresh option doesn't work, maybe the Reset one is (this is a Factory Reset), however it doesn't keep anything so you would have to back up all your data first.
