Let's run chkdsk from safe mode.
Right click on the
Start button, then click
Run.
In the run box, type
msconfig then press
enter.
Click the
Boot tab, then check the
Safe boot box under Boot options.
Click the
Apply button, then click
OK.
You will be prompted to restart, click Restart.
Once in Safe Mode,
Right click on the Start button.
Click Command Prompt (admin)
Type chkdsk then press Enter.
When chkdsk completes, run msconfig, click the boot tab, then uncheck Safe boot.
Click Apply, then OK, then Restart.
Once your computer is back at the Desktop in normal mode, download then run
ListChkdskResult (by SleepyDude) then copy and paste the text from notepad with your reply.
