Windows 7 service pack 1 won't install

The Windows 7 service pack 1 (KB976932) NEVER installs. This has been a problem for YEARS! If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated!
I have run the SFCFix program and this is the logfile;

Yes that's right it was when I tried to use that command. Everything else seemed to work fine and I was asked to reboot my computer - which I did.

Alright the log is clean :) Can you try to install the SP1 again? If it fails, let me know which error code it returns. Also are you trying to install it from the Windows Updates, or did you download the update directly (from a file format) and you're trying to install it from there?

It failed again

The error code is error code 80004005 and I installed from Windows Updates. It failed to configure and reverted changes and when the computer came back on I went to Windows Updates and the Service Pack update option was gone as if it had installed so I checked the status which said 'Pending' but it changed to 'Failed' with the mentioned error code. This has never happened before as it has always said Failed straight away.

System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) - Scan
Follow the instructions below to run a scan with the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) and provide a log;

Download the right version of SURT for your system;
Once downloaded, execute the installer, and go throught the installation (this process can take around 15-20 minutes);
On completion, a log will be created in C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log;
