Issue with iTune install, probably linked with SFC corruption

Hi All,
I'm running Win7-64. I have tried since a couple of days to solve an iTune issue (unable to install/reinstall AppleApplicationSupport), with an error linked somehow to a corruption in windows.
I first went to Apple community support : https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6974324 without much success.
I executed SFC /scannow, found a couple of errors. most of them fixed by the excellent sfcfix.
a couple of issues remain, and iTunes still does not install (which is an issue for my different iGadgets).
I have copied the missing files, and ran sfcfiw again. itunes still does not install
I continue to have the error message at AppleApplication Support install : [An error occured during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,type="win32-policy",version="8.0.50727.6195",publicKeyToken ="1fc8b 3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86"'. Please refer to help and support for more information. HRESULT: 0x80070003]
I'm not sure that the access rights are properly set, and this may cause the remaining issues.

I forgot to precise that CheckSUR did not found any issues (both CheckSUR and CheckSUR.persist log have ended without issues "no errors detected").

Can you please upload the following?

Can you please go the following location C:\Windows\System32\config and look for the following files:
-COMPONENTS
-Any other files that start with the word COMPONENTS
-Or any files that have a similar name to COMPONENTS (it could be spelt different, have a number, a symbol etc)
If you find any please create a folder on your desktop and copy and paste all these files into this folder.
Next can you please zip this folder -> Please name this zip file to COMPONENTS_{Insert forum username here}_{insert todays Date here}.zip For example "COMPONENTS_Go The Power_1803.Zip"
Once done, upload them for me to analyze. The file may be too big to attach to this post, please use either Dropbox or One Drive.

Click on the

button. Inside the search box type in CMD
Right click on CMD => Choose Run as Administrator
Inside the Command Prompt windows copy and paste the following commands
dir %systemroot%\System32\config >1&&notepad 1
Please post the contents of the notepad file back into this thread

SFCFix script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
Go to your desktop and right click on the background -> Select New -> Text Document -> Name this file SFCFixScript.txt.
Open up SFCFixScript.txt and copy all of the following text inside the code box below and paste it into SFCFixScript.txt.

Click on File -> Save. Close out of SFCFixScript.txt.
Save any open documents and close all open windows.

SFCFix will now process the script.
Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.

This is cool...
But my initial problem with iTunes remains the same, and iTunes continues to fail miserably during install time.
it is looking at a directory : C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_policy.8.0.microsoft.vc80.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.6195_none_517205a10f4550e3\
that does not exist in my system...
it seems that there is still something wrong in my Windows install...

Can you please go into C:\Windows\WinSxS\ folder, can you see a file called x86_policy.8.0.microsoft.vc80.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.6195_none_517205a10f4550e3.manifest

Please follow the instructions Here to run the System Update Readiness Tool. When the SURT finishes installing, copy (Ctrl + C) and paste (Ctrl + V) the contents of the SURT log into your next post please:
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log

I just ran the SURT tool. No errors.
Both files are equivalent.
Weird...

I dont have any file or directory starting with x86_policy.8.* in directory c:\windows\winsxs

This file that is missing is not supposed to be on your computer by the looks of the COMPONENTS/no manifest file. If the folder x86_policy.8.0.microsoft.vc80.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.6195_none_517205a10f4550e3 was supposed to be on your computer there would be a reference to this component inside the COMPONENTS hive and there would of been a manifest file. But as iTunes is asking for it means that you are most likely missing this particular VC update.

Can you please download and run the following VC update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2538242/

the MSFT FixIt does not solve the issue. I have now the 1935 error, on both C++ 2005 and 2008 install...
I have Avast 2015 antivirus. But disabling does not seems to change that much things.
I guess we are moving into the identification of the root cause (incapacity to install C++ 2005, and therefore the rest of the packages), but this is a little depressing anyway.

1) i just changed my antivirus to BitDefender, but this has no effect.
2) attempts to install both Visual C++2005 (X64 or X86), or V C++2008 (x86) end up with similar error 1935 (see below).
3) Minitoolbox is a nice tool
