I ran a couple of tests on my hard drive from different sources and I am getting different reports, so I came to the forum for a accurate evaluation of the status of this drive , here is a picture of the results from Gsmart. I cannot estimate when it's going to fail, can be days, weeks, months, heck, even years before it dies.

C carl a Contributor Joined Oct 25, 2015 Posts 650 Dec 29, 2017 #5 Re: hard drive status evaluation Thanks for your professional and yet humble reply, I brought this refurnished harddrive from ebay for 30 US dollars just to learn how to take out a hard drive that has failed to operate and put in other one and in doing so increase my learning on how to fix certain things on a computer or laptop, when opening harddrive utilities the first report that I got is overview performance is 100% health is all good , but when I ran the smart tests the tests failed by read element, all the quick test drive failed to complete on all four different hard drive utilities tests, but all four utilities also say that the health was a 100% excellent . Thanks for giving me clear instructions on the fate of this harddrive.
