    [7SP1 x64] Error 7000/7009 effects Antivirus startup / long startup

    Hello,
    I desperately hope for your help.
    - Recently / after the latest Tuesday Update (I think) I noticed my machine taking much longer to startup. (Dark screen with only cursor).
    Used to be app 20 sec - now over a minute!

    - Also noticed that my anti-virus (webroot, which workes from cloud) was not present / hasen't started up yet (as it should first thing) and I had to give permission first - now everytime.
    [7SP1 x64] Error 7000/7009 effects Antivirus startup / long startup-kr-error7000-7009-jpg

    - I found error 7000 and 7009 with every start up, which pointed to webroot: could not be started in timely fashion / 30.000 milsec. delay
    (see attachment - WRSVC service is what starts Webroot ) ... I used to have NO errors, NO warnings ... perfect
    Can anybody help me fix 7000 / 7009 - since I suspect that it causes long startup / webroot not starting automatically.
    Webroot has been uninstalled and reinstalled - no difference
    Computer is in top shape, all updated, Win score 7.7, - Win7 Prof, 64Bit, 16 GBRam, SSD for OP syst
    Computer works flawless aside problems described above.
    I have system restore disabled but make system mirrors every couple of weeks - unfortunately I made the last, unknowingly, after this occured.
    Thanks in advance

    Re: Error 7000 / 7009 effects Antivirus startup / long startup

    Hello and welcome to Sysnative!

    Could you please do this:

    SFC Scan

    1. Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
    2. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
    3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

      sfc /scannow

      Wait for this to finish before you continue

      copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
    4. This will create a file, cbs.txt on your Desktop. Please attach this to your next post.
    If I haven't replied to your thread within 48 hours, please send me a Personal Message.

    I followed your instructions but Sysnative upload for attachments / files refused because the cbs.text file excedes allowed size...? it's 3.46 MB ...what to do ... how can I send you this?

    What did the tool say? Did it find corrupt files or not? You can zip it up and then attach it.

    stc /scannow said it did not find any problems - I did this anyways before I contacted you.

    cbs.zip

    But here you go

    Re: Error 7000 / 7009 effects Antivirus startup / long startup

    Do you have any additional HDDs besides the SSD? If so, have they been tested?

    Re: Error 7000 / 7009 effects Antivirus startup / long startup

    Yes - I have the SSD only for System and regular HDD for storage and all personal folders (Documents, etc.) This worked for years and never a problem. So - C drive has no peronal (User/Me) on it.
    So - just to confirm again: slow startup and delayed Anti Virus point to Error 7000 / 7009. Never had a problem with the system configuration or webroot. Webroot also says that it can't be them - must be the inability to connect to internet of WRSVC service, as stated in error description.

    Still hoping for your expertese / solution to fix error

    Thanks

    Let's conduct a little test:

    Please boot your machine in Clean Boot state:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/...oot-in-windows

    Make sure Webroot is disabled as well and let me know if there is any improvement.

    Re: Error 7000 / 7009 effects Antivirus startup / long startup

    Thanks for you response - I'm back - it's morning here

    Question: disable webroot before clean boot? watching if the delay occurs during clean boot with webroot disabled?

    or: do clean boot and then disable webroot and do what?

    Thanks

    While configuring Clean Boot, disable Webroot.

    I did clean boot - disabe all (non-windows) - no change
    - enaqble all - no change
    used option: boot diagnostic - total desaster - no startup at all (dark screen with cursor just before login window (no login possibel)
    got it fixed back to prev. stage (60-70sec login) by using F8 > use last known boot configuration

    so now - no more errors regarding webroot but the long startup

    any suggestion?

    Thanks

    Where / how to check on GPU drivers?

    Thanks and merry Christmas too

    just to decribe again: 30-40 sec. extra startup - used to be 20-25 sec. - now 60-70.
    Extra stratup time ocurs after system loading, just befor login with dark screen but cursor visible/moving.
    all possible repair or performance checks done ...?
    Save Mode startup repair not working...?

    Thanks for now

    Re: [7SP1 x64] Error 7000/7009 effects Antivirus startup / long startup

    Try going into Device Manager and find your GPU there. click on Update Drivers. It helps in situations like these. It may say they are already up to date, but try rebooting afterwards and check.

    This solution has been proven to work in situations where switchable GPU was present.

    Another thing to check are the Startup Items within msconfig.exe.

    Thanks for thr reply
    - Yes - GPU (NVidia) is up do date / newest release
    - startup items are mininal / only anti virus and wacom tablet and colour profile

    someone mentioned the background image (desktop) can delay 30 seconds if it's single colour...? mine is a jpg image ... the registry key where to set it lower is non-existent ..? should I I worry about that? is it relevant?

    Thanks

    Does the same delay occur during Clean Boot?

    GSmartControl
    Follow the instructions below to test your hard drive health with GSmartControl:

    For now I only want a screenshot of you Attributes tab.

    • Download GSmartControl and save it on your Desktop;
    • Execute gsmartcontrol.exe; Let the install complete and launch the programme.
    • Identify your drive in the list, and double-click on it to bring up it's window (usually you'll find your drive by it's size or it's brand name);
    • Go in the Perform Tests tab, then select Extended Self-test in the Test type drop-down list and click on Execute (this test can take a few hours to complete);
    • Once the test is over, the results will be displayed at the bottom of the window. Please copy and paste these results in your next reply;
    • Also, go in the Attributes tab and if you have any entries highlighted in red or pink, take a screenshot of the GSmartControl window and attach it in your next reply;
    If I haven't replied to your thread within 48 hours, please send me a Personal Message.
