[10v1709b16299 x64] DPC latency caused by storport.sys. DELL Inspiron 5767

As I have seen it is a common issue, but I tried all fixed I could find and nothing helped. I do some small tings as disable optical drive, uninstall all DELL bloatware and it helps for some time but then it comes back. It happens even after clean install. With the downloaded Windows Development Kit I recorded a small period of time (enough to see the spikes in DPC latency caused by storport). Here is a OneDrive link to it:

    https://1drv.ms/u/s!AlBxe3S0ldj9hRBiRtv5aIurK4Rs

Any ideas that could help? The computer is DELL Inspiron 5767 with i7 7500 processor, 16 Gb RAM, Radeon R7 M445 4Gb.

    Hi MartinV279.

Please, read POSTING INSTRUCTIONS for DPC/ISR latency, stuttering, cracks/pops. (click) (and provide the logs).
writhziden and MartinV279 say thanks for this.

Thank you for the reply! I have corrected this and here are the new data. I made a short performance recording to make a small file, but it will be okay because the stuttering happens pretty often.

    Speccy snapshot: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/l...dr3K7duOaTukgh

And here is the OneDrive link of all four files(msinfo32, DxDiag, trace and zxv): https://1drv.ms/u/s!AlBxe3S0ldj9hRHgtGWutRNf6Ov-

Looking forward to some answers :)

In your bios settings, check if Radeon R7 M445 4Gb is enabled (and intel hd graphics 620 disabled).

Not sure if you updated your HDD firmware:
Seagate ST1000LM035 and ST2000LM007 series Hard Disk Firmware Update
    Version: SDM2 ,A01
    Release Date: 05 Jun 2017
    File Name: Seagate ST1000LM035_ST2000LM007 0D4C3_ZPE.exe
    File size: 53.93 MB
Read carefully their instructions, if you'd proceed with the update (it includes: MAKE A BACKUP!).

Currently, your ram speed seems to be set to 1333 (666.5 shown by speccy).
Try to set it up to 2133 (1066.5 shown by speccy), or less (see jedec 5 in speccy).

Re: [10v1709b16299 x64] DPC latency caused by storport.sys. DELL Inspiron 5767

    Hi.
As for the first part in BIOS Setup > System Information, we have:
Video Controller = Intel(R) kabylake Graphics
dGPU Video Controller = AMD Radeon R7.

Even though, every Windows 10 system info program I used says intel 620.

Second part, the models you wrote are not the same as my HDD. I visited Seagate's web and to download new firmware it requested my HDD's serial number. When I entered it, it said there is not new firmware.

And at last, does this mean I need to get some overclocking software? Because all I found with Googling is RAM overclock. I couldn't find that option in the DELL BIOS.

I found it here Support for Inspiron 17 5767 | Drivers & downloads | Dell US.
I thought your laptop was equipped with that one (I checked only the first 5 letters/digits).
Maybe yours is a bit different than the one I found on Dell website (see next point for the link).

No, I thought you could change it in your BIOS settings.
In Dell website, I read your laptop specs: 8GB, DDR4, 2400MHz, up to 16GB (additional memory sold separately).
But your CPU should support up to 2133 (see intel website).
See the fourth laptop (the last) here: http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-...17-5767-laptop.
    Is yours that one?

That's the laptop but the model has a few configurations, and I have the maxed out one. 17.3 screen, i7 processor, 2TB HDD etc. As much as I could find, the current driver is the latest one. As for the Intel 620 - kabylake graphics issue, I can't find a way to change it. Also I forgot to mention that I have dual boot Ubuntu 16.04 and there are no problems whatsoever performance wise. The main issue is that I need to use CATIA and its only available for WIndows.
