Bug GPU GT 635M Asus K56CM or S56CM

I bought a laptop Asus, used: model S56CM - XX085H, three and a half years ago.
    - OS: Win8migrated to 8.1, then Win10
    - nVIDIA 635M & Intel4000
    - SSD 60GB
    - 6GB ddr3
When I bought it, it worked perfectly and it went on for 8 months. But for 2 years, I started having nVIDIA crashes with the error message: "TimeOut nVIDIA: The kernel driver was recovered" .... with reboot almost systematic.
So I looked for an update to the nVIDIA driver. To do this, I followed the recommendations of the tutos, namely uninstall the driver, restart, registry cleaning and new installation. I first tried all the ASUS drivers, then those from nVIDIA. Ultimately, actually, the ASUS drivers seem more stable but have not solved my problem. I still have an ASUS version
So I decided to reset the pc when exiting the factory, but the problem is the same, as soon as the nVIDIA graphics processor is solicited => error message: TimeOut nVIDIA: The kernel driver .... Etc.
I decided to disable the graphics card Intel 4000. There, small evolution, I can start a game (TitanFall), it starts without crash but it is jerky and then always crashes with the same error message. I noticed with Z-GPU that the pilot communicates but discontinuously (which causes the jerks, and if the gpu is too stressed, the pc plants).
On the desk sometimes my mouse also jerky and planted my laptop, so I reactivated the Intel4000 card and disabled the nVIDIA6500M in the end.
Randomly, if I activate my nVIDIA card I can either access the nVIDIA control panel or I get the message: "No nVIDIA driver is installed". And (if it works) when I handle a little too much the criteria of the panel nVIDIA => crash.
Reinstall the ATK package but unsuccessfully.
In 2015 => reinstalling nVidia driver with Windows 8.1
The various Windows 8 and 8.1 error messages:
    "Video TDR Failure"
    "Sys services exception"

    NVidia Driver Version tested: 335.23

Installation ok, control panel nVIDIA ok, recognized card in the Gest. => Message win8: Drivers have stopped working and have been recovered ... => then screen freezes and crashes, new blue screen (version Win8.1) => msg error code: DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION

NVidia driver version tested: 309.95 (same procedure except that the card was not recognized in Device Manager.) The second error msg: VIDEO TDR FAILURE

So I returned to the version of Asus drivers that does not cause failure: 326.83 (downloading from the Asus website for my hardware). But then, if I run the control panel, it says: "You do not currently use a screen connected to an nVIDIA processor". So no risk of crashing ....

    Today I'm into win10 1703 15063.540
    Thank you for your help
    Thanks again.

That should be a Optimus unit that can switch between the Intel video and the Nvidia chip.
In order for this to work correctly the 2 drivers (Intel video and Nvidia Video) have to be compatible the issues usually arise when 1 is updated and not the other.
Try uninstalling both video drivers and then reinstalling the Intel video driver that Asus supplies for your model first and then the Nvidia driver from Asus

If the system was working well and none of the drivers where updated before the issues started there is a good chance it caused by a failing nvidia chip.
writhziden and jcgriff2 say thanks for this.

Based on the description, I'd also say the chip has failed.
