Edition Windows 10 Home
Version 21H2
Installed on ‎3/‎18/‎2021
OS build 19044.2130
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4180.0

Had issues for a while with updates, stupid enough to never deal with them before. Comp stated unable to update to windows11 because I didn't have TPM 2.0 turned on. Followed steps to fix that via enabling in BIOS.
Unable to update to windows11 with error 0x800700c1, "Your device is missing important security and quality fixes."
Attempting to let windows fix itself fails. running sfc /scannow results in "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service."
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth gives this result:
"
Error: 0x800f081f

The source files could not be found."

Two updates that attempt yet fail are linked in a jpg, as is the CBS zip.

Success on updating to windows 11. Only thing yet remaining is:
2023-06 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 Version 21H2 for x64 (KB5027537) with download error 0x80248007

KB5027537 is an old update (2023) for .NET. So I would hide this update using the following tool.

Download
65a7d58475a95-WuShowHide24.png
wushowhide.diagcab to hide an update.
  • Double click on the wushowhide.diagcab file and press Next.
  • Now the tool will search for updates and performs a scan to detect problems.
  • When this process is complete click on Hide updates.
  • Now an overview will appear with updates that have not yet been installed.
  • Select the update you want to hide and press Next.
  • When the troubleshooting has complete you can close the tool.
