I have been having performance issues. I believed this was Disc related and I have replaced the disk and used Seagate DiscWizard to clone the disk from the old one to the new one.
I have now started to troubleshoot further and found the following messages in the event viewer.
"Windows was unable to load the registry. This problem is often caused by insufficient memory or insufficient security rights.
DETAIL - The configuration registry database is corrupt.
for C:\Users\Ian\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\\UsrClass.dat"
Looking online it suggests running sfc /scannow which I did and got a log full of messages like
00000569@2015/3/19:14:24:17.867 Sysprep Warning: Corruption detected. Marking Sysprep Corrupt. All Sysprep Commands will be ignored
0000056a@2015/3/19:14:24:17.868 Sysprep Warning: Corruption detected. Sysprep Commands will be ignored
Checking in c:\windows\system32\sysprep.exe says it is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or bach file.
Should I replace sysprep.exe at this point and run sfc /scannow again?
