Hi there
For the past six months I've been unable to perform any windows updates the regular way on my Windows 7 Pro SP1. Each time I tried a search for updates it fails almost immediately with error code 80070490.
I've tried several of the usual things: stopping windows update service, deleting system update files from the SoftwareDistribution/Download-folder, running sfc /scannow and the System Update Readiness Tool. Nothing worked.
I've been able to do some updates through WSUS Offline Update, but this still doesn't solve the issue.
I've not reset Windows yet and would like to avoid it if at all possible.
This past night I've run the System Update Readiness Tool again and it seemed to have reduced the number of SURT total detected corruption count down to 805 from around 1070 yesterday.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
