Dear Community,

my name is David Lorenz. You know me from: [SOLVED] - Windows Server 2019 Standard with Exchange 2019 - Update Fail 0x80073712
We have a problem with a Windows Server 2019. The updates fails at the reboot since some weeks. We dont know why and need help please.

I attached some Logs. You need maybe more logs?

We hope that someone (Maybe @Maxstar ) can help us.

- Installation
- Start: 09:08
- Install: round about 09:12
- No Error before Restart
- Restart: 09:26
- Failed: round about 09:28 (in Restart) (.Net & Windows)

- Step 4 = Attachment
- Step 5 = done
Ordner: C:\Windows\Logs = ok
File: C:\Windows\INF\setupapi.dev.log = ok
File: C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS = ok
File: C:\Windows\System32\config\DRIVERS = ok

SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Afterwards attempt to update. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS logs and the Setupapi.dev.log.
