After this month's round of patching, I have 4 of about 70 Windows 10 workstations that failed to install KB5039705. The error code returned is 0x800f0982. SFC and DISM come back clean (RestoreHealth was successful). I've tried a multitude of fixes, but nothing has worked. Manual install fails with the same error code.
Things I've tried: The common Windows update fixes, stopping the associated services and renaming the software distribution and catroot2 folders. I installed a different language pack and removed the en-us pack, then added it back and tried to update. I also ran Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase.
I have attached CBS logs and the ComponentsScanner log. Any help is greatly appreciated!
