Hi and welcome to Sysnative. Sorry for the delay. If you are still in need of assistance please let me know.

Hello .....yes I am still having problems with this update, and would be very grateful for some assistance! thanks

Thanks. Please do the following.

Step#1 - DISM /RestoreHealth Scan
Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  1. Right-click on the Start
    w8start.png
button and select Command Prompt (Admin)
  2. When command prompt opens, Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Right-click > Paste) the following command into it, then press Enter
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  3. When DISM finishes scanning your component store, zip up and attach your CBS log to your next post:
    C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

It got to 40%....then stopped saying: "DISM failed. No operation was performed.". Here is the log

  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
  5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please

I am afraid I am still getting the same error message. Update will not install so undoing changes. I have to admit I selected the update from the control panel rather than the download link you sent....not sure if that made a difference? I have since tried via the download with the same result.

Thank you. I see 0x80070002 errors in your log. As a result, can you run the following Windows Update Troubleshooter? After you run this, please go ahead and try to install the update again.

OK, please provide a new C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log. Zip and attach to the post.

When you ran the Troubleshooter from my previous post did it report any errors or did it end up like the following?

Thank you. Please run the Windows Update Troubleshooter again and let me know what it says when it's done. When you open up the troubleshooter if there is a checkbox for "Aggressive Mode" please ensure you check the box.
