Extra problems:
SFC /scannow = Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service.
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth = Error 193
In place repair via ISO = Fail with no error message


SFCFIX.exe = No errors found

CBS log attached.

I would like to fix the windows update, DISM and SFC errors before I go onto that as it may be the cause of the BSOD
 
Is the BSOD still occurring or is that now fixed?
 
I rarely get BSOD's on windows but I have not been getting it lately when booting my PC up.
The issue was MAYBE the MBR being on another drive and me rebuilding one on the C drive and using that to start up windows since it was on another drive but the EFI System Partition is still on the other drive.
The other problem is that I sometimes get BSOD when waking up from sleep mode so I turned off sleep mode and that might have helped it.

The more problematic issue is the corrupted windows which I cannot update along with DISM and SFC errors.

I hope you can figure this issue out and assist me since I tried in place repair which always errored out and I even tried installing windows 11 hoping that'll work but error again.

There must be a corrupted file somewhere.
 
The CBS.log errors all relate to the following:

2021-09-11 18:46:09, Info CBS Failed to create CBS worker, crashed? [HRESULT = 0x80070570]

This is why I thought the BSOD problem was causing the error. If the problems have cleared up and the drive issues have been sorted I will need you to run through the DISM and SFC steps again and provide new logs. You may have some corrupt folders on your drive so if you have not yet run a thorough CHKDSK scan please do so.

ChkDsk Scan/Repair
1. Click your Start button and start typing Command Prompt. When you see it appear in the list select Run as administrator. Answer Yes to allow if the User Account Control dialog comes up.
2. You should now have a black window open that you can type in to.
3. Please type chkdsk /r and then press enter. Note: There is a space after the command chkdsk and before the forward slash
4. You will get a prompt telling you chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use. Answer Y and hit enter to schedule the run at next boot. Reboot your machine.
5. Chkdsk will start to run. Please allow it to finish.

6. Download ListChkdskResult.exe by SleepyDude and save it on your desktop.
7. Right-click this file and select Run as administrator (Allow if prompted) and a text file will open (and also be saved on the desktop as ListChkdskResult.txt).
Please copy the contents of this file and paste into your next post.
 
Saw fixing ???/SystemPartition for a few seconds then it instantly went to the login screen.

sfc /scannow still yields the "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service."
DISM still yields error 193 with anything related to usage of the /Online command.
 
CHKDSK did not run so there is a problem if you can't get the command to run. The logs you posted were all old ones.

It suggests to me that there is a problem with your partitions or disk. What do you get when you run Disk Management? Maybe do a screen shot which shows all the sections clearly.

Also run some disk diagnostic software tests such as Seatools: Hard Drive (HDD) Diagnostics (Sea Tools for DOS) & SSD Test

You can see that D: has the EFI System partition which should be in C.


Currently doing Long generic test on all hard drives. They currently all passed the short generic and hard drives passed SMART TEST. Will update if long test fails.

When I restarted my PC to do the chkdsk, the computer rebooted 3 times then shutdown and had to press the power button to turn the PC back on.
Not sure what was going on but it did the disk checking but apparently you said it didn't initialize.
Could be a one time problem or chkdsk /r not enjoying being run on an SSD.
 
I do think the EFI partition on Disk 0 and the system partition on Disk 2 may be causing the problems.

See if running chkdsk D: /R drive works.

Looking back at the CHKDSK you ran on 22/09/2021 I see the following:

Try the C: drive again. There seems to be something wrong with it. If the /R switch fails again repeat with the /F switch.
 
Your problem is with that hard drive (disk 2). It is as if the drive can't be written to. Have you tried that drive in another system or tried plugging it into a different location? Can you create new folders and files on drive C:\ ?
 
The drive is a m.2 SSD and I can create folders on it and download files as its the main drive. I don't have another system to check if it works there.

It used to work before as seen by the logs and it wasn't long ago. Not sure if a bootable media cmd chkdsk would work?
 
I think you would be better off running the CHKDSK C: /R from the recovery environment via Advanced Start-up and seeing if it works that way.

Restart your PC but when you click on Restart make sure you are also holding down the shift key. Select the Troubleshoot option and then select Advanced Options. Once in Advanced options you can select Command Prompt. This should run the Command Prompt from the recovery partition which appears as X:
