Windows 7 Professional
Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601
CPU: i7-4790K

Installed Windows 7 off of a boot disk, activated using an old product key, tried updating windows, got the above mentioned errors.

Tried this fix, and this, and this, and this

Of note, I was trying to install XBMC and have been getting C:\Windows\system32\d3dx9_43.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error.

I didn't know if these issues were related so I tried to fix the .dll issue by installing the DX Installer recommended on this forum post to no avail. Neither issue has been fixed.

Not sure what my best course of action is now and I would appreciate any guidance or suggestions you may have.

CBS file seems to be too large to load? not uploading properly, will attach with large file uploader.

Thanks!
