When Windows update tries to install a cumulative update it fails with error 0x800f0986. After running the DISM repair I received an error: 0xd0000034 DISM Failed No operation was performed.

Attached are the Component Scan and CBS logs

  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

DISM Command Completed without errors. The server successfully ran all updates. Thanks for your help Maxstar.
