[SOLVED] Windows Server 2016 unable to install Windows updates

Hi,

I have a problem with one of our servers. Windows updates are not insalled anymore. When I run dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth, I get the following result. All errors are related to KB4048953. Tried downloading KB4048953 but it's not available for download anymore through the MS Catalog. Using the get-hofix command, it doesn't even show that KB as being installed. Looks like the componenet store is somewaht corrupt but I have no clue on how to fix this myself...
Could you please help me fix this issue so we can apply the Windows updates again? BTW, the SFCfix.exe tool did not find any corruptions
I've attached the logs for the sfcfix tool and the dism and sfc commands. In this compressed file, cbs_dism.log is the cbs log after I ran the dism command, cbs_sfc the cbs log after I ran sfc /scannow

Also tried to correct the errors by running DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source: and having the source point to another server which has been installed at around the same date. That server should have been receiving updates in the same way as the problematic one so I hoped it would find the source files there. Unfortunately, I get the error they could not be found.

  • Open the Start menu of Windows and type the command CMD
  • When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
  • When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, then press enter.

I ran the command but it doesn't finish. I get a pop-up stating update KB4048953 isn't installed on this computer.

  • Open the startmenu and type the command cmd.
  • After you find the Command Prompt, right click on it and select Run as Administrator.
  • Copy and paste the following into the Command Prompt and press enter.

Yes, all the references to KB4048953 have been removed.

This looks good, please run Windows Update again and let me know the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
 
Unfortunately, Windows Update is throwing me error 0x80073712. I've attached the CBS.log
There are a lot of errors regarding CBS Watchlist Package Missing, Package_for_RollupFix~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~14393.1884.1.3

Edit: iI get the error while trying to install 2022-03 Onderhoudsstackupdate voor Windows Server 2016 voor op x64 gebaseerde systemen (KB5011570)
