I've got a Windows Server 2016 Standard that I can not get to patch. This server will successfully download the patches, but whenever it is rebooted it always rolls back the updates. I have uploaded the CBS.zip and componentsScanner.txt file to this thread. I have tried everything I know how to do at this point, seems to be an odd issue.

Hi @BiZuMs,

Welcome to Sysnative Forums!

If you haven't already, please review the posting instructions here, and attach the requested log files. Without log files, our helpers will not be able to assist, and this will slow down fixing your machine.

If logs have been already been provided, our team of volunteers will analyse the provided log files to build a fix for your system. Please be aware that this may take several days from your initial post, due to the high volume of threads that we receive.

Hello and welcome,

What do you mean with BFEAD02 ?

Attach the file C:\Windows\INF\setupapi.dev.log to your next reply.

Hey there. BFEAD02 is just the server name. Moving forward, I will put this in the summary but I just replied to all my posts so I know which ones these are as I had multiple. I've attached the setupapi.dev.log file to this post as well.

I got the registry keys applied. According to the history of this, it will reboot each Sunday so I will see what happens then. :

Machine was rebooted. Checked windows update and it is downloading:

The download part always works but when going to install the updates during the reboot it never installs the cumulative :

Let me know if you still need the cbs.log and the setupapi.dev.log but the search for updates / download never fails.

Yes, attach those 2 files.

Wait for Windows Update to complete.
If it fails, copy the file C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\cbs.log to your desktop.
Zip the copied file and attach the zipped cbs.log to your next reply.
