I've got a Windows Server 2016 Standard server that is successfully downloading and installing updates but whenever I reboot this to complete them the updates always roll back.

Hi @BiZuMs,

Welcome to Sysnative Forums!

If you haven't already, please review the posting instructions here, and attach the requested log files. Without log files, our helpers will not be able to assist, and this will slow down fixing your machine.

If logs have been already been provided, our team of volunteers will analyse the provided log files to build a fix for your system. Please be aware that this may take several days from your initial post, due to the high volume of threads that we receive.

Hello,

I have included the server name in the thread to avoid confusion. You have posted multiple threads with the same name.

Attach the file C:\Windows\INF\setupapi.dev.log to your next reply.

Sounds great, thanks a lot! Sorry for the confusion. I have attached the "Setupapi.dev.log" file as requested.

I did run this but got an error or two:

It did generate an SFCFix.txt file that I uploaded to here now as well. Let me know if there is anything else you want me to do here! Thanks again for the help.

I am going to complete step 2 as well, sorry forgot to mention that in my last post.

Check Windows Update again and report the result.
If it fails, copy the file C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\cbs.log to your desktop.
Zip the copied file and attach the zipped cbs.log to your next reply.

I checked Windows update again and I see the same cumulative that is failing:
