Hi,
I'm running Microsoft Management Console for a permission changes on a group member and its taking forever due to the inheritance and corresponding shares. Its a server that I have to run Windows patching as well. If I reboot, will the permission changes I'm running in the background stop?

btw, there are no members in this group so I'm not too concerned if it stops or something else...but curious anyway if it will still run since it deals directly with AD/Groups/Permissions.?

Surely, it's done by now?

Are you asking if it will resume after the reboot?

I'm sure it will stop during the reboot.

Try setting it as a scheduled task tweaking the parameters to resume if stopped.
