Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Update no longer works - help!!!!

I have a client that is running Server 2008 R2 SP1 and will not update.

I've searched and searched for answers and basically done everything authoritative that I can find.

I've renamed the SoftwareDistribution folder, tried to run BK947821, SFCFix.exe, this computer/server just refuses to update.

Is there anyone out there who can help me?

Hello beroldb and welcome to the forum :)

Lets start of by obtaining a few logs for analysis, this should help give a good indication of what is going on.

Download and run System Update Readiness Tool (SURT)

• Please go Here and download the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT). Save this file to your desktop
• Go to your desktop and run KB947821
• When the SURT finishes installing, copy (Ctrl + C) and paste (Ctrl + V) the contents of the SURT log into your next post please:
  C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log
  C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log
