I have the same problem right now, I followed all your steps but still the problem persists ToT. I currently have avast right now but as I checked, i haven't even installed its firewall. I haven't noticed how long has this been going on but I think its a while already. The Windows Defender Firewall Service is set to automatic but its status is always stuck on "stopping"
I have tried the following:
1. Use SFC and DISM
2. Do a windows install through the iso (kept all the files and apps)
3. Utilize the tweaking.com tool ( I followed the instructions from one post that I have the similar issue but to no avail)
-The one thing different I think from the other post here to mine is that the status of his Firewall is stuck on running and starting while mine is stuck on stopping
Its been weeks already since I tried to fix it and I tried lots of fixes in the internet but to no avail.
-I saw how great and helpful the sysnative team is and I hope someone here can help me with the problem :).

Hi, Mikuro.

Welcome to Sysnative.

Download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop. --> IMPORTANT

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

If your antivirus software detects the tool as malicious, it’s safe to allow FRST to run. It is a false-positive detection.

If English is not your primary language, right click on FRST.exe/FRST64.exe and rename to FRSTEnglish.exe/FRST64English.exe

  • Double-click the FRST icon to run the tool. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button and wait for a while.
  • The scanner will produced two logs on your Desktop: FRST.txt and Addition.txt.
  • Please attach the content of these two logs in your next reply.

Hello DR M! I appreciate you taking the time to reply! I followed through your instructions!
I saw in the addition test that eset was enabled? I believe I removed all of its components and remnants through its official uninstaller.
It could just be me misunderstanding things but here are the results of the FRST tool.

Hi, Mikouro.

You have KMSpico installed on your computer. This program is used to illegally activate Microsoft's products, such as Windows or Office.

In case Office is not activated with a genuine license, I'll ask you to uninstall it along with the KMSpico service.

In case the operating system is not activates with a genuine license, have in mind that we don't provide help if the operating system is not legally activated, with either OEM or Retail license. A not activated system consists a security risk, and it will give you many issues in the future. Making the long story short, it is a waste of time to clean a not activated operating system, since soon or later it will have issues. Perhaps the issues you are dealing with right now, are related to this.

Let me know about your thoughts.

Hello DR M, as of now, I do not have an official license for Windows. I also don't know if KMSpico is the one still activating my windows as I saw that it was installed around 2018. I intend to buy an official windows 11 key but I still can't afford it right now. Further, KMSpico is not activating my Office. Is there any work around to this?

After numerous problems with my PC, I reinstalled windows through the ISO with keeping the files and everything was fixed, except for the firewall.

What happens when I reinstall or do a clean boot of my windows? Your response is noted, I guess I have to wait until I can afford an official license.

ill try to acquire a copy of windows tomorrow. what is the process between switching unofficial license to an official one?

The first thing you must do is uninstalling KMSpico.

After that, activate with the new license. Settings > Settings > Activation

Sometimes, some extra steps are needed, based on the kind of license you buy, but in this case, you are given instructions from the seller.

As you understand, you don't need to go for a clean install of the system. But you will need a system cleaning after.

Let me know when you are ready. I'll be here.

Thank you so much for your help DR M. I appreciate you and your team. I will update once I have a new license.

You are very welcome. It is a wise decision, to make a new start. (y)

Strangely, when uninstalling the KMSpico from Programs and Features, it said that it was already uninstalled and asked if I wanted to remove it (remove its name in the programs and features I think) and I clicked yes. I have a license key right now, should I use it? Am I still activated by KMSpico?

Hello.

What kind of license did you buy? OEM or Retail?

Actually, when you buy a license you must be informed about the kind of the license. You can go to the site you bought it and check. We can also check it after you use it on the computer, not now.

Let's move on.

Go to Settings > System > Activation.

Check what is the state of your activation and let me know.

When my windows was activated by KMSpico, it said something alone the lines of "this computer is activated by your organization" or smth like that. Now, I activated the license I bought, with the message "Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account".

So you activated.

Let's check the license with this:

  • Press Windows icon on your Desktop, together with the letter R.
  • Type cmd, and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to run Command Prompt as administrator.
  • Copy and paste the following command and press Enter:
Code:
slmgr /dli
  • After running the command, you will get a report. Please take a screenshot of what you got and attach it in your next reply. Here is an article where you can see how do you take a screenshot with the snipping tool, in case you need it.

Hello, I cannot use Snip and Sketch all of a sudden after I activated my new license (I was able to use snip and sketch around a few hours ago). I believe this is due to my firewall not activated, and I cannot update anythign MS store related because of the firewall issues but here is the report.
Name: Windows (R), Professional Edition
Description: Windows(R) Operating System, RETAIL channel
Partial Product Key: C3726
License Status: Licensed
