That's good :)

Did you try SeaTools?

Oops sorry Alex I forgot to mention, I followed the instructions for how to boot from cd in the link you gave me but there was no option to "modify BIOS settings" I looked around and could'nt find anything that related to boot options. So no I didn't try SeaTools.

Regards.

Fred.

Hi Fred,

That scan looks fine. We might leave it at this for now. If you start to notice any more strange issue please return back to the forum and we will go from there :)

Alex I can't thank you enough for helping me, it was starting to get me down a bit as I don't understand the workings of a computer. I just want to turn it on and use it, I set updates and my kaspersky to automatic and just let them get on with it.

When this windows problem started I searched on Google and kept getting all sorts of things to try, it wasn't till I found a link to here where some one had a similar problem (not exactly the same but similar) I went through a few more threads and it did seem like you knew what you was doing and not just pointing people back to Microsoft help.

So I joined and you have guided me all the way, and in the end I can now get on with just using my computer again.

Thank you very much once again Alex, and if anyone is reading this do ask for help I wish I had found this place sooner.

Regards.

Fred.

Thanks for the kind words Fred :)

Your more than welcome, I was happy to help and even more happy that your computer is working the way it should again :)

Feel free to come back here if you have any more computer issues or questions.

All the best,

Alex
