Windows could not configure one or more system components

I am gettung this error when trying to update Windows. I am stuck on Windows 10 Home 1709, build 16299.967.

What I did so far:

Ran sfc /scannow:
This aborted with the message that it found corrupt files that could not be repaired.

Ran SFCFix:
This crashed when checking cbs.log
I submitted the crash report to the developer.

It would be really cool if you could help me here, I am stuck on an old Windows version and have before tried for hours to fix this without any success.

GSmartControl
Follow the instructions below to check your SMART status with GSmartControl:

Download the portable version of GSmartControl and save it on your Desktop;
Extract the zip file to your Desktop. Open the folder gsmartcontrol-1.1.3-win64 which should be located on your Desktop and double-click gsmartcontrol.exe to launch the program.
Identify your drive in the list (if recognized by the tool), and hover your mouse over it.
You should see something called: SMART status. It will either read: Enabled, in which case you should do the following:
Double-click on it to bring up its window (usually you'll find your drive by its size or its brand name);
Go to the Self-Tests tab, then select Extended Self-test in the Test type drop-down list and click on Execute (this test can take a few hours to complete);
Once the test is over, the results will be displayed at the bottom of the window. Please copy and paste these results in your next reply or take a screenshot;
Also, go in the Attributes tab and if you have any entries highlighted in red or pink, take a screenshot of the GSmartControl window and attach it in your next reply;
Please note: If the SMART Status reads: Unsupported, stop and let me know.

Hello softwaremaniac,

I tried running SFCFix again, and this time it didn't crash, but it still failed. It threw error 6801 transaction support, which is the same error I can find after a failed update in the logs. I am attaching the CBS and DISM folders, as well as a screenshot and the logfile of SFCFix.

Please try upgrading using MCT:

Download the Media Creation Tool and save this to your desktop. Go ahead and run this as well. Note: Click the Download tool now button when you get to this link.
Accept the License Agreement
Download the ISO file to your desktop.
Double-click on the ISO and then run the setup to try and upgrade your machine.

We want to get the ISO so that you don't have to keep downloading which can take hours.

I ran the setup from the iso, it failed again with the same message "Windows could not configure one or more system components ". After rebooting it promted this window:

0xC1900101 - 0x30018
There was an error in FIRST_BOOT during SYSREP_SPECIALIZE

Step#1 - FRST Scan

1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Right-click FRST64.exe and click Run as Administrator to run it as administrator. When the tool opens, click Yes to disclaimer.
3. Please ensure you place a check mark in the Addition.txt check box at the bottom of the form before running (if not already checked).
4. Press Scan button.
5. It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should now be the desktop)
6. Please attach the log back here.
7. Another log (Addition.txt - also located in the same directory as FRST64.exe) will be generated Please also attach that along with the FRST.txt in your reply.

Please navigate to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys and delete any files that might be in the folder.

Note: You may need to enable Show hidden files and folders in order to see ProgramData folder.
