Hey!
Today I was experiencing issues with my network driver, so I decided to install a newer version. However, right after the installation, it triggered a BSOD. The problem started when my internet connection would stop working whenever I downloaded a large file, like a game on Steam or an ISO. The only way to restore connectivity was to restart the network adapter.
After losing access to my system, I restarted Windows in Safe Mode without Network and attempted to install an older network driver. The process was taking longer than expected, so I powered off the PC to try again. Unfortunately, this led to Windows corruption, and now I get a BSOD on NDIS before even reaching the login screen. Worst of all, Safe Mode is no longer an option.
I tried every available recovery method, but none worked. Hoping to repair the corrupted files, I turned to DISM.
I downloaded both Windows 11 Pro x64 and Windows 10 Pro x64 ISOs, yet every attempt ended in failure with the same error:
[==========================100.0%==========================]
Error: 0x800f081f
The source files could not be found.
All parameters were correct, so this wasn't due to a typo.
I tried using both install.wim and install.esd, but nothing worked.
Frustrated, I installed Windows 11 on another drive in an effort to use DISM's online repair against the faulty drive. Sadly, this too proved unsuccessful.
I'm hoping someone can help me repair Windows, I really don't want to configure everything again.
The key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion] has the following info, maybe this could be helpful
BuildLab = 26100.ge_release.240331-1435
BuildLabEx = 26100.1.amd64fre.ge_release.240331-1435
DisplayVersion = 24H2
LCUVer = 10.0.26100.3476
ProductName = Windows 10 Pro (I don't know why it shows up as 10 since I installed Windows 11)
ReleaseID = 2009
