Hi guys,

i'm having troubles with some Windows Updates on my freshly installed Windows 8 x64 PC. First time I launched Windows Update it found 96 updates so I installed them, but during the installation I get the first "Blue screen" error,
the error was: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED and then after restarting PC I finished installing the rest of updates but after I clicked on Restart Now button in Windows Update I get second error: RESOURCE_NOT_OWNED

After all of this of checked Update History and this was the result: Aktualizace_1_1.jpg

SFC file: View attachment SFCFix_1.txt

Then I have tried your SFCFix and saw 1 error and also Check Windows Update for errors with tool from Control Panel and launched Windows Updates again.
It found 52 updates, but I also received 1 error during the installation of them, error: NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM

After it all finished I checked Updates history again and this was the result: Aktualizace_2_2.jpgAktualizace_2_1.jpg
SFC file: View attachment SFCFix_2.txt

And there is my CBS: CBS.zip | Ulo?.to
Sorry that I had to use other web site to store the zip, but it has 50MB

Actually I also got one error while I was writing this, the error was: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

Thanks for any help.

Oh found the info about how to upload big CBS for you. Did so and now I hope that you'll find it on your server. :-)

Right, I won't be able to assist in the Windows Update errors.
But I will try and resolve the blue screen errors first then I'll pass the thread onto a Windows Update expert.

First thing is first...
Follow these instructions in order for us to collect the appropriate files.

https://www.sysnative.com/forums/bs...ctions-windows-8-1-8-7-and-windows-vista.html

A Kernel memory dump would be a lot more useful though.

Go the Start
Right click My Computer
Select Properties
Click Advanced system settings
Click on the Advanced tab
Select Settings under Startup and Recovery
Then under Write debugging information select Kernel memory dump.

Once a dump is created go to:

Code:
C:/Windows/memory.dmp

Copy the file to the desktop, zip it up and upload it to a file sharing site like Onedrive. After the upload is done post the download link in your next reply.

I tried MemTest and I couldn't believe my eyes only in first step it found 840 error. So I talked to my vendor and I'm going to complain them right away. Because it's brand new...

You need to get new RAM or a new motherboard as one of them is faulty.
If you purchase has been less than 30 days you should be able to get it refunded/replaced without question.

Hi saarix and welcome to the forum :)

the zip file that was submitted to the forum wouldn't let me open up the CBS.log file. Can you please zip up the CBS folder again and upload it to Dropbox or ge.tt

thank you

Sorry, but I don't have RAM in PC now so I can start it. I'll re-upload the log on Monday as soon as I will install new RAM. :-)

So new RAM's are installed and MemTes showed no error. Do you think that those bad RAM's could cause all the BSODs? Or is it still somewhere because of the OS?

We'll have to wait and see but bad RAM is a very common cause of BSODs.

Ok and about Win Updates I just try to search them and only 2 updates were found and installed successfully so now I guess we just have to wait if any one problem will come up with this new HW? :-)

Hello saarix

It would be good to double check that there are no corrupt files on your system still otherwise it may cause issues down the line.

Hi, for two days PC was fine but now when I was using Unity I had this BSOD error: 0xa0000001. Any idea what that error means? How can I check that there are not any currupt files properly please? Thanks.

And one more thing to my new BSOD that appeared (0xa000001) I've read that it might be caused by low voltage to the graphic card or by out of date drivers. But i downloaded the latest GPU driver using AMD auto finder on driver and about voltage i played Battlefield 3 on high details for 2 day and Firefall also and there were no problems. Only when I started Unity (3D game engine) today and worked in it I had this first BSOD since I bought the new RAM's

Yes, thanks. I ran all of these tools and everything was fine, but then after i did some digging i found out that my BSOD is related to the GPU and mostly bad drivers or bad PSU. My drivers are fine but after contacting MSI i found out that i had 450W PSU and my GPU needed at least 500W so i think that my cause of the BSOD was PSU (low power supply on GPU).

Anyway new PSU is already on it way and I should recieve it in 2-3 days. Hopefully it will solve my problem.
