Steven Sinofsky, president of Microsoft's Windows Division, took the stage for the first day of the Windows Developer Days conference in Japan to announce the Release Preview of Windows 8 will launch during the first week of June.
The news confirms previous speculation that the Windows 8 release candidate would be called a "Release Preview." Microsoft's Building Windows 8 Twitter account confirmed the news via tweet, providing the announcement photograph seen above and the following statement:
Announce..."Windows 8 Release Preview first week of June. Here's the announce from Japan's Windows 8 Dev Days #thankyou"

Here we go again. Better stock up on the coffee. I dont see the enthusiasm for win 8 that there was for win 7 so maybe the transition will be more gradual.

XP was around for a long time, enthusiasts were longing for a new OS, along came Vista and they clamored back to XP, Win7 was after MS got all their ducks in row and had driver support, program support(of course using the same core as Vista didn't hurt) and it worked without too many issues. But we still see x number of users everyday who want to go back to XP instead of leaning how to use a new OS.
