Hey there, had a windows update last night when i logged off, did the usual update and shut down, and it carried on this morning when i switched my PC on.
Since then i have had 3 lock ups of sorts, everything stops responding but the mouse still moves, only way was to hold the power button down on my tower and restart that way.
I then had a BSOD with windows 8.1 kernel_data_inpage_error, iv done a ram check/test and all was fine, scanned/checked my C drive, all is fine, however, doing the /scannow it is saying found corrupt files but was unable to fix some, details in the CBS log iv attached the log, any help please? :)

I also looked for a mini dump file but i couldnt see/find the minidump folder

Many thanks, didnt see/know of that forum section!

following the instructions given there, but i cant get the perfmon /report to work, keeps coming up with "The operator or administrator has refused the request"

hmm, updated graphics card driver, updated flashplayer and java, ran another sfc /scannow and came up with this...
Thats a good thing right?

Kindly follow the step number 1 & 2 and then upload the output/Zip file generated by the Log Collection Utility :)

Here you go, i have 2, one i did last night before updating drivers and stuff (1), and the one iv just done (2)

Hi ^_^,

Unfortunately, there are no dump files present in the Zip file which are needed to analyse the problem :(

Furthermore, there is no mention of the Dump file being created in the Event Logs as well. Kindly follow this guide and make sure that the generation of dump files is set and the page file is also set.

https://www.sysnative.com/forums/bsod-crashes-kernel-debugging/9599-bsods-but-no-dump-files.html

Once you are able to find the "DMP" files in "C:\Windows\Minidump" , re-run the log collection utility and upload the latest file generated.

Let me know how it goes ^_^

Imanaged to get a perfmon report by going to perfmon.exe displaying the report then follow the address on my C drive

Well, today after a lock i decided i had had enough and decided to reinstall windows, once it was all done, i did what would normally cause a lock up or a bsod, which was leave the computer alone for 20/30 mins, but nothing happened this time, then left it for about 3 hours and still no locks, so luckily it looks like its all sorted :)

Seems like an old driver was causing it. Glad to hear that the issue has been solved ^_^

Thanks alot :) Just curious, do you know which one it was?
I checked your MSINFO32 report and the Event Logs but to my surprise there is not a single Blue Screen Event in there. The event must be there if you were experiencing the BSOD. Since no Dump file was there and the event logs are also not describing the BSOD Event, I cannot name the driver which was causing the problem.

Furthermore, I saw loads of BlueStacks crashes, various app hangs and other types of problems.

I would suggest you to monitor the system for sometime and see if you are facing any problem or not. In case of any further problem, do not hesitate to post back ^_^
