Hello all; First of all I want to say that you guys are doing a great job here! All your efforts are deeply appreciated!:thumbsup2:

Then; as per intro; After my computer started to run slower than usual and sometimes took incredibly long times between commands I tried looking deeper into what the heck was going on with my pc. After doing some scans and combing the net I found your website and hoped that you could help me further.

Now to the problem that I have found so far:

Problem: After Running SFC /scannow (Directory c:\windows\system32) the resulting report shows files that cannot be repaired.

I will attach the CBS and SFCFix folder to this thread but a short summary is as follows:

- 1 component is yet unfixable; "Windows Telemetry".
- The hash for the file member does not match the actual file, thus the main issue, I think, is the Hash mismatch.
- The DISM results state that all problems are fixed!
- Yet after running another SFC /scannow; it reports the same results as before the fix!
- I read the other thread concerning Telemetry problems and followed Brian Drab's Advice, I tried installing this fix, but it only lead to a pop-up telling me that update was already installed.

The specs of my Laptop are as follows:

Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. GP60 2pe
Windows 8.1 x64, version: 6.3.9600 Build 9600
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4200H CPU @ 2.80GHz, 2801 MHz, 2 core('s), 4 logische processor(s)
Memory: 8GB DDR3 Physical (9.54GB Virtual)
BIOS/Version: American Megatrends Inc. E16GHIMS.108, 11-4-2014
SMBIOS-version: 2.7
Videocard: NVIDIA GeForce 840M (Driver version: 10.18.13.5330)
Anti-Virus: Trend-Micro Internet Security
Two separate hard-drives:
1 with Windows on it: 128gb Samsung SSD
1 With files from my old laptop and other files on it; 600gb Standard hard-drive

Now I know that there has been another problem like mine, but; as I read your warning saying never to follow solutions posted in another thread; I decided to make a new one of my own. Please excuse me if this was not the right thing to do. Also, if this is the case, please point me to the right thread where I might find my solution :). Thank you!

Also I presume that this does not have a lot to do with my pc running slower than usual; (it's using 40% memory even when running nothing!) but it's a step in the right direction!

I hope you guys can help me fix this annoying and re-occuring problem!

Thank you in advance,

Lutherias

Hi and welcome to Sysnative. Sorry for the delay. The telemetry issues that you are having are a false/positive and can safely be ignored. Microsoft is aware of the issue and working on a resolution to this. It doesn't affect the operation of your machine. I would suggest that you start by getting your machine checked out for malware in our Security forum. If all passes then you can post an inquiry in our Windows 8 forum.
