I have been receiving errors while running Windows update for several months - and was convinced that I would need to back up all of my files and re-install Windows, but now i can't find any of my discs - so I am hoping you can help me get past these errors so I can finally install Visual Studio and start learning something new.

Most recently when i run updates I get Code 80070BC9 when trying to install 'Update for WIndows 7 for x64-based Systems'. I can't seem to get past this, and I continue to see a prompt for 'restart to install updates' which causes 20-30 minutes of loops through failed update attempts, and then it 'reverts' the attempted update, and still presents the same messages.

I did run your SFCFix.exe tool, but it didn't find any errors after it ran, and yet this update is still being problematic. I will be uploading the CBS log file shortly, as they are nearly 80MB after Zipping, so i will be using your other tool to upload them and attach them to this forum.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative. Sorry for the delay. Please let me know if you still need assistance.

If you do, please upload your CBS log via a service such as Dropbox or One Drive or SendSpace and just provide the link. The one you uploaded previously is corrupt unfortunately. Thanks.
