Windows 7 update failed on service pack 1, 800B0100

Windows 7 Professional service pack 1 update fails. I have tried most everything the blogs have suggested with the exception of reloading the OS. I have tried the automatic trouble shooter, Microsoft hot fix, run the system update readiness tool, turning off the firewall, connect to the router instead of using wireless, still fails the service pack 1 update. I see several folks are have the same or similar problems. You assistance is greatly appreciated.

Good Day Jerome, Thank you for your patience! I have worked out a fix for you please follow my instructions below carefully:

Windows Update Package Replacement

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

Please download the attached file, Packages.zip and save this to your Desktop.
Right-click on the file and select Extract All...
Tick the box labelled Show extracted files when complete then click Extract
A window will open showing a folder named Packages
Open the Packages folder and copy the files into the following folder

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

6.Run the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) again

7.When the SURT finishes installing, copy (Ctrl + C) and paste (Ctrl + V) the contents of the SURT log into your next post please:

C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log
