Hi,

Been fighting this for a while with no success. Last successful update was around the time IE 11 was released. Would like to get Windows 7 updated so I can be eligible for the Win 10 update.

Appreciate your willingness to assist!

Win 7 XP, Home Premium 64

Windows update errors with message "Windows could not search for updates". Clicking the help leads to a search page at MS with no direct help links for "WindowsUpdate_800F0900" "WindowsUpdate_dt000".

So far I have tried:

1) Chkdsk - result: no errors

2) sfc /scannow - result: no errors

3) Uninstalled the last updates to install successfully

4) Tried this: "WindowsUpdate_800F0900" "WindowsUpdate_dt000" - Microsoft Community
5) Ran the Windows Update System Readiness Tool from this post: https://www.sysnative.com/forums/wi..._800f0900-windowsupdate_dt000.html#post107638 Result: seemed normal

6) Ran the sfcfix program mentioned here: https://www.sysnative.com/forums/windows-update/4736-windows-update-forum-posting-instructions.html
Result: Reports 12 errors

I've attached the sfxfix log and the cbs log.

Thanks!
Nick
