Sorry, I reproduced the same screenshot twice, showing the path not found on D:
About 6 months ago I cloned my system disk C: to an SSD and started using it, in part because the old drive was both old and getting full. But problems started to develop after a couple of months - certain programs wouldn't work or seemed to become corrupt. So I reverted to the old spinning disk which is the current drive C: - the one that we have been working with. I have always kept a system disk physically separate from a data disk D: (not just a partition). The SSD system disk is currently mounted as I:. There is also an expansion drive H: for local backups.
So to uninstall Report Viewer Redistributable 2008 I browsed to I: It found the installation there and has uninstalled it successfully. I must have only installed it while the SSD was my system disk. I have no idea why it should show up as an installed program after I reverted to the older system disk.
However, the uninstall attempt for Visual Studio 2010 results in this message:
[this is the image I should have posted last time]
I have searched for the msi file on the other drive I:, but to no avail, although there is a setup set of files under I:/ProgramData/MFAData. But the file sizes are all small (0 to 3 KB) suggesting that they are just empty placeholders; as if the program had already been uninstalled.
So I am only one step further forward, not three.
