Hello.
I've been experiencing a problem, and that is when I try to install "Security Monthly Quality Rollup" for Windows and .NET Framework, I constantly receive error code 643 and 80004002.
When I hide the updates, I get older versions of those hidden updates and when I install them, I receive the same errors as before.
I'd highly appreciate it if you could help me and I am truly sorry for bothering you guys.
Thank you very much beforehand.

Is there any particular reason why you're still on Windows 7? LTS ended almost 3 years ago now. Nonetheless, could you please check that the following file exists:

Rich (BB code):
C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\Rollback\setupact.err

If so, then please zip it and attach it to your next post.

Hello and thank you for your reply.
The reason that I am still with Windows 7 is that my computer is old and upgrading it to 8 or 10 would make it immensely slow, and buying a new PC costs as much as a brand new car around here.
And as for the $Windows.~BT folder, I do not have that, this is a fresh install of Windows.
Again, I'm really sorry, if it's too much of a hassle to fix the issue I understand, I'll live with it.
Thank you very much.

The system requirements for Windows 10 shouldn't be much different to Windows 7. I would strongly suggest either upgrading to Windows 10 if your system supports it or installing a Linux distro such as Linux Mint which is similar in feel to Windows. Google are dropping Chrome support for Windows 7 systems once the extended security support ends at the beginning of 2023 and I suspect that many other browsers and software vendors will follow suit.

The issue isn't if it's a hassle to fix the update issues, it's the security implications of running an unsupported operating system, especially since those fixes will eventually become redundant.
