Windows 7 SP1 x64
Laptop bought in 2012
Lenovo Y480
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M LE

Game affected: Torchlight II, osu!
Game unaffected: Anno 1404, Mount & Blade: Warband
Game that will freeze: PPSSPP

It happens randomly, sometimes I can play for 2 hours or longer, sometimes 1 hour and BSOD.
I also experienced severe flickering and distortion as in the second attachment.

The App stopped at waiting for SystemInfo.

I am going to uninstall the Splashtop.
As for the graphics driver, is it better to use NVIDIA's newest driver or the driver on the Lenovo's site?

Please try nVidia's version first, if that does not provide any stability, then please try Lenovo's version. They may have added specific modifications for your machine.

The version listed is not compatible with my card, my card is PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0DE9&SUBSYS_397717AA while the driver only support 0FD3 and 0FD2

But the driver does not install or what is it about? The ID matches the card model you are currently using so it should work. Alternatively, check other drivers here:
Pobieranie sterowników NVIDIA

As I said it is not compatible so when I try to install it will say so and I can not continue.

Then you will be left with Lenovo drivers or an attempt to manually install the driver from NVIDIA by Device Manager

I downloaded GeForce Experience and it suggests 391.35 from 2018.3.27. I suppose this is the latest driver I can use?

In that case, install the driver proposed by GeForce Experience
