[SOLVED] Windows 11, version 24H2 error when updating

I've been trying to update my computer but every time I try, I get a message saying Install error - 0x800700c1 and at first it was just that I didn't update my drivers which solved the issue and let me update but, the next day I had to update it for the same thing and since then it hasn't let me update it. I have tried most things that come up when you search for how to solve it but none of them have worked.

I tried running dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth in CMD prompt, but I get "Error: 0x800f081f

The source files could not be found. Use the "Source" option to specify the location of the files that are required to restore the feature. For more information on specifying a source location, see Configure a Windows Repair Source.
The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log"



I also cannot run sfc /scannow, I get "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service."
Am not sure what else to do if somebody could help that would be a life saver.

Step 1. Download

SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.

• Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
• Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
• Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

• SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
• Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
• Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.

DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Hello, thank you for your response here is the two things asked for. I got an error while running the dism command and here is what I got.

Hi,

Please post the latest CBS logs, the latest file you've attached is my previous fix.

Upload a copy of the CBS folder

• Open Windows Explorer and browse to the C:\Windows\Logs folder.
• Right-click on the CBS folder and choose Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.
• Now the message will appear, "Windows cannot create the Compressed (zipped) Folder here. Do you want it to be placed on the desktop instead?"
• Click on the Yes button here.

• Attach the file CBS.zip to your next reply. If the file is too large to attach, upload the CBS.zip file to www.wetransfer.com and post the link in your next reply.

Hello when I use SFCFix.zip it just opens it on my notes app and when i try to put the information into a file it is only named SFCFix not SFCFix.txt I was just wondering if that was correct?

I figured it out. This was the new copy of the CBS log.
