I've seen this on here a lot recently and have tried the fixes from Microsoft (none of which work). I have roughly 180 devices that are all doing the same thing. Hopefully, I can get some insight on what the issue is and how to fix it, so I can work on the other devices.

My device is running Win11 24H2 26100.2894. The following is what I have tried with no resolution yet.

  • Windows Update fails with error 0x80004002.
  • DISM fails and returns error 0x80004002 - No such interface supported.
  • SFC /scannow returns error "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service."
  • Can't run Windows Troubleshooter as Microsoft Store is not installed on the device.
  • Attempted to reset Windows Store with "wsreset.exe"; no change/resolution.
  • Have created a Win11 image, attempted to install updates from ISO; crashes prior to restarting the device
  • Have manually downloaded KB5055523 update from Microsoft's Catalog. Receive error that the "Update is not compatible for this device."
  • CBS.log is full of errors "Failed to create CBS worker"
I'm attaching the CBS logs, DISM logs and ComponentScanner.txt. Let me know what else you need from me. I already have SFCFix on the device.

Hi @Wired_Ghost,

Welcome to Sysnative Forums!

If you haven't already, please review the posting instructions here, and attach the requested log files. Without log files, our helpers will not be able to assist, and this will slow down fixing your machine.

If logs have been already been provided, our team of volunteers will analyse the provided log files to build a fix for your system. Please be aware that this may take several days from your initial post, due to the high volume of threads that we receive.
