T Tango22 Well-known member Joined Jan 18, 2020 Posts 83 May 22, 2022 #1 I am trying to upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7 but the upgrade fails at about 15% during the installation of windows updates. I've tried running the SURT but I can't clear the corruptions. Any help would be greatly apprecitated. My SFCFix results are pasted below and my CBS log is attached: SFCFix version 3.0.2.1 by niemiro. Start time: 2022-05-22 11:46:20.708 Microsoft Windows 7 - x86 Not using a script file. In the upper right corner ensure the View by: is set to Category. Select the Programs group. Click the Turn Windows features on or off link. This will bring up the Windows Features dialog. Note: This loads your components hive which is what we want. Please keep this dialog open while you perform the remaining steps. You can minimize it if you wish but keep it open. Download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop: 32-bit: Downloading Farbar Recovery Scan Tool Note: Your antivirus program may report FRST incorrectly as an infection. If so, disable the real-time protection when downloading and running FRST. Right-click on the file FRST.exe and choose Run as administrator. Copy and paste KB4493132 into the Search box and click the Search Registry button. When the scan is complete, a message will display that 'SearchReg.txt' is saved in the same folder FRST was started from. Notepad will open this file also. Step 2: FRST Registry Search Click the Start button and choose Control Panel. In the upper right corner ensure the View by: is set to Category. Select the Programs group. Click the Turn Windows features on or off link. This will bring up the Windows Features dialog. Note: This loads your components hive which is what we want. Please keep this dialog open while you perform the remaining steps. You can minimize it if you wish but keep it open. Right-click on the file FRST.exe and choose Run as administrator. Copy and paste Package_68_for_KB4474419 into the Search box and click the Search Registry button. When the scan is complete, a message will display that 'SearchReg.txt' is saved in the same folder FRST was started from. Notepad will open this file also. Close Notepad and attach the file 'SearchReg.txt' to your next reply. You may close any remaining open windows now.
