Hello,

I don't like to ask for help but I'm kinda lost on how to move forwards.
I havent been able to run windows updates, do a clean install or upgrade to windows 11 for months now.
Most consistent thing I've noticed is the BITS service not being able to start. Tried a bunch of things, safe mode dism, sfc, etc.

My problems seem similar to these threads:

I have included the components and CBS.zip and the componentsScanner.

Would be very lovely if someone could help out.
Have a good day.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Step 1. Download
67139f7e69a58-SFCFix-ico.PNG
SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

You legend,
That seems to have done the trick. I'm able to download and install updates again.
Added the text file anyways. Have to go now, am gonna see if the Windows 11 update works as well tomorrow.

Will donate, much obliged

You're welcome! And let us know if the upgrade to Windows 11 succeeds, and thanks for the donation to Sysnative... (y)

Glad to hear the installation of Windows 11 was also successful.
