I am trying to update an PC from 2017 that currently has 1511 installed.
I have tried using SFCFix and that found no corrupt files and also completed a sfc scan and that also found no issues.
The output from SetupDiag is:
Error: SetupDiag reports Optional Component installation failed to open OC Package.
Last Phase: Safe OS
Last Operation: Gather Optional Component status
Package Name: Foundation
Error: 0x8007001F
Refer to "Fix Windows Update errors via DISM or System Update Readiness tool - Windows Server" for possible remediation information.
Recommend you check the "Windows Modules Installer" service (Trusted Installer) is started on the system and set to automatic start, reboot and try the update again. Optionally, you can check the status of optional components on the system (search for Windows Features), uninstall any unneeded optional components, reboot and try the update again.
Please help, have been stuck on this for a while and do not want to do a full reload.
