Hi guys, it's my first post here so I'd to thank you for huge support and help, you're just great :)

I couldn't attach/reply to existing thread (due I'm new user on this forum) which is almost same like main, so I had to create new one. I've big problem with last windows update KB4522355 - I tried install it several times but still got same error 0x800f0982. I must admit I probably removed Windows Defender in the past, because I use ESET AV. I tried install from windows update, standalone wusa file (windows10.0-kb4522355-x64_af588d16a8fbb572b70c3b3bb34edee42d6a460b.msu), but error is still same. I tried also standard methods like:
Code:
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
sfc /scannow
even magic script ;)
Bash:
fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\&fsutil usn deletejournal /d /n c:&Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup&sfc /scannow&Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth&sfc /scannow&Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase&pause
but it didn't work :(

All logs are bellow, I hope it helps you with analyze:
zipped Logfile.PML
zipped CBS logs

Before you start download (~12MB), look at logs bellow, please.

Hello and welcome!

Due to the precise nature of your corruption, you will receive help from a user named Bruce1270. He's one of our senior trainees here who's in his final phase of his studies and needs to gain some real world experience in specific areas of Windows Update. This means that he'll be assisting you, but that I will first need to double check and approve his fixes before he posts them to you. If anything this is a good thing for you because it means that you've got at least two of us watching over your thread, but it will unfortunately add a slight delay between each reply. I hope that you understand and can accept the need for us to train up new members in this way in order to carry on doing what we do here, however, if for any reason you object to this setup, I will happily take on your thread myself.

Thank you very much for your understanding. We'll be with you very shortly.

Well, sure, let Bruce take care of this issue, i hope he will solve it like you, pro masters. I just lost hope to solve this issue without reinstalling windows... Then I found this forum with similar issues and you, mvp guys whose solve all windows related problems. That's why I register and ask you for help. I'm old advanced/power windows user, but times changes... Everything should works fine, I mean updates, but somehow it wasn't. Thank you for quick answer and I await for analyze. Happy evening

Hi skpl

My name is Bruce1270 and I shall be assisting you. Please do the following.

Retrieve Components Hive
1. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
2. Please copy this file to your desktop.
Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
3. Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To...Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
4. The file will likely be too large to upload here so please upload to a file sharing service. Examples of services to upload to are Dropbox or OneDrive or SendSpace and then just provide the link in your reply.

Hi Skpl

Please do the following:

Step#1 - Capture Process Monitor Trace
1. Download and run Process Monitor. Leave this running while you perform the next steps.
2. Try updating the system just like you have in the past.
3. Stop Process Monitor as soon as it fails. You can simply do this by clicking the magnifying glass on the toolbar as shown below.

4. Select the File menu...Save... and save the file to your desktop. This is likely the default location. The name (unless changed) will be LogFile.PML. This is fine.
5. Zip up and provide the link to the LogFile.PML file as well as your CBS.log Examples of services to upload to are Dropbox or OneDrive or SendSpace.

Hi Skpl

Please attach the latest CBS log.

Thanks

Hi skpl

Apologies for the delay. This fix is a bit more complex and I require more time before i come back to you.

thanks
Bruce

Hi Skpl

Apologies for the delay.

Please do the following

Step #1 - FRST Fix

NOTICE:
This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system
Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
Download attached file and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
When finished FRST64 will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.

It worked :) After your patch, installation of KB4522355 went fluently without errors, then I could install few other missing updates and finally last update and I'm now on Windows 1909. Thank you so much. Told you're pro :)
And for the record Fixlog.txt:
