Hi.
Probably my own fault for joining the Windows Insider program. When it was originally offered, I tried to install KB5030300 on my Windows 10 PC. After every reboot, Windows indicated that a reboot was necessary to finish the installation. That loop finally ended, but it seems like the installation failed anyway. Currently, I'm stuck with "There were problems downloading some updates, but we’ll try again later. If you keep seeing this, try searching the web or contacting support for help. This error code might help: (0x800700c1)". This is now for KB5031356.
Running "sfc /scannow" results in "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service."
Running "DISM /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth" returns:
"Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version: 10.0.19041.844
Image Version: 10.0.19045.3513
Error: 193
%1 is not a valid Win32 application."
Downloading and running the updates (KB5030300 and KB5031356) from the Windows Catalog results in "The update is not applicable to your computer".
SFCFix.exe finds no problems. I tried running ComponentScanner, but it won't work against a Preview Build. I've uploaded my CBS.log.
I checked in C:\Windows\WinSxS\ and can't locate a corresponding "amd64_microsoft-windows-servicingstack_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.19041.3505_none..." (replacing 19041.3505 with 19045.3513) folder.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Richard Herbert
