Hello, Sysnative!

For more than a few months, every time I tried to update my windows, it gives Error: 0x800700c1.
Because of this, my pc has a backlog of updates that can't be installed because of this error.

I tried to run the sfc scannow and dism commands as per the forum posting instructions, but this is what happened.

1739857019664.webp

The dism command gave Error: 0x800f081f

-)I tried running the commands in safe mode, and it still didn't change anything.
-)I checked if TrustedInstaller was not running/disabled. Tried running the commands again after starting TrustedInstaller and restarting the pc, but it did not change anything still.

I have attached the relevant files. Let me know what I can do to help you help me!

  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.

Hello, Maxstar!

I ran the SFCFix as instructed, and it said the scan was complete, with warnings.

As for the DISM command, it got stuck at 62.3% for a while (same as before), and gave the same error code as last time. Error: 0x800f081f

I've attached the files you've requested. Let me know what else I can do to help you help me!

Hello again, Maxstar!

I ran the SFCFix as instructed, and this time it completed without any warnings.

Although for the DISM command, it gave the same error as last time once again. Error: 0x800f081f

I have attached the requested files. Once again, let me know if there's anything else I can do to help you help me!

Hello again, Maxstar!

I've been having some downloading issues with the zip file you attached. I tried downloading it several times, and every time, the downloaded file size seems to be smaller than the 17.2 MB that your message showcases. It might be because of the slow download speed I was getting (less than 10 kbps) from here. (My internet speed is fine on other websites.)

Anyway, I've tried to download it multiple times (as evident from the view count on the file itself), and everytime I tried to use the downloaded file, SFCFix.exe says that it is corrupted.

What should I do now?

Thank you for your patience, Maxstar!

I ran the SFCFix as instructed, and it finished with no warnings.

As for the DISM command, this was the result:
1739982908590.webp

While it didn't say the operation failed, I've attached the CBS file anyway.

Let me know if there are any other procedures remaining!

Great, the DISM command completed successfully. So please attempt to update and post the result, if it fails attach a new copy of the CBS logs.
